I am always so grateful when I find a true mom and pop restaurant. I’m not from this state, and I was looking for a breakfast place. Really was craving corned beef hash, so I googled it and this place came up. The reviews were superb, but when I got here, wow. The ambiance that the workers created, really makes you feel at home. Though, the restaurant itself is kind of small ( only about 8-10 tables) it didn’t seem to have an adverse effect on the environment. Now the food! Oh my, what in the farm to table experience is this? Everything they make is from scratch, so that corned beef hash truly was next to none. I also had the caramel macchiato, which was perfect. To the people who work and own this establishment because I’m sure the owner is the head chef. I truly hope all your dreams come true. To anyone looking to see if this is the restaurant to go to; yes. Please support this local business because it is beyond worth it!
Wow! What a lovely brunch spot. When I walked in the young lady greeted me right away. She asked if I wanted a menu. Knowing what I wanted I declined. I told her I was ready to order. She was polite, professional and bubbly. I ordered a large mocha espresso, and a breakfast burrito. The young lady asked if I had been to the cafe before. After I placed my order the young lady brought me my coffee. It looked fantastic and I commented once I had a sip that it wasn’t too sweet. Perfect! She then brought me a chocolate muffin to enjoy with my coffee. She said because it was my first time at the cafe that I should try a muffin. It was moist and delicious and was perfect with my coffee. My burrito came out. I asked for bacon, peppers,onions and mushroom. On the menu it lists: Cage-free eggs served with your choice of three ingredients (list as seen on custom omelette), wrapped in an organic flour tortilla & served with homemade tomato sauce. And the custom omelette on the menu: Build your own omelette with three ingredients. Non-GMO cage-free eggs with sourdough toast & a hash brown potato cake. Upgrade to egg whites.Choose from bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, spinach, mushroom, zucchini, pickled onions, bacon, sausage, turkey sausage, chicken, steak, Canadian ham, white cheddar cheese, provolone cheese, muenster cheese, pepper jack cheese, vegan cheese for toppings. The burrito was very hot fresh and delicious. The flour tortilla almost had an egg roll crisp to it which I really enjoyed. The tomato sauce was yummy and definitely added to the burrito. When I was ordering I did ask if I could add potatoes. She said no. I would have liked a little crunch. Overall very yummy though! Everything together was the perfect amount of food for brunch. Service was lovely and the cafe was very charming. Definitely some place I would eat with a friend or family member and it was cozy. Lastly the bathroom was perfectly clean and smelled amazing! I will definitely be back!
I can’t believe I just found this lovely lovely place! It is cheerfully decorated, the staff are so warm and helpful and welcoming, and the food is fantastic! You can tell the owner is very very proud of her place and she has a reason to be. We had the Tex mix quesadilla, the corned beef hash, and the enchilada burger. I would recommend all three but I wanna go back many times to try all the other things on the menu they also make their own sourdough bread. And have a beautiful collection of pastries To offer as well. Such a gem tucked into a little strip mall in Gaithersburg!
Family-owned small business. Warm greetings with smiles as soon as we entered. The entire menu is non-GMO and prepared in-house. Fair pricing and plenty of options to choose from. Everyone working there was very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout the entire experience. Highly recommended!
This is truly one of the best mom-and-pop restaurants I’ve ever been to! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The first time I visited the restaurant they gave me a delicious pastry! Maritza, especially, is incredibly kind and makes the experience feel even more special. The food is delicious and from scratch—always fresh, flavorful, and cooked with care. Weekends can get busy, but the staff always does their best to give customers the best experience. Be patient and kind—they really work hard to make sure everyone enjoys their visit. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy and delightful dining experienxe! Their dulce de leche latte and hibiscus tea are my go-to drinks. I had horchata cheesecake for the first time and it was delicious.
Gardenias is home away from home! Everything is made in house and the food speaks for itself..This is a family owned restaurant and they do such a fantastic job- it’s a must visit. Everything on the menu is amazing, they also have some amazing vegetarian options! Finally their desserts.. everything is a must try, nothing over the top sweet, but enough that you can enjoy it guilt free
Just had our first visit at Gardenia's Cafe, and it was such a joy! The staff greeted us so warmly and explained they use clean foods and products every day to create their dishes. We had their delicious ribeye steak & cheese with wedges and the brunch burger with truffle fries. My drink, the Dulce de Leche latte, and my husband's freshly squeezed oj were both very tasty! Even took some of their pastries home for the ride.
The owner welcomed us so warmly it felt like we were in her home. They take pride in their craft and for good reason. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We will be back!
